What the hell are you smoking? No single fan of TSW in here has accused ESO of cheating. Quite the contrary, some ESO fans accused us of cheating in the beginning. And again, THERE WAS NEVER ANY POST FROM A DEV ANYWHERE.
I don't mind ESO winning but, reading lies every 5 minutes is a bit annoying.
Wasn't there a post from a TSW community manager? I think the point was *someone* from Funcom posted asking TSW players to vote. Which I might add is a good thing, support the game. :-)
I agree that Golarum saying "a lot of frustrated fans of TSW" is totally worthless without links or quotes or some evidence pointing to all of the supposedly angry TSW fans attacking ESO. Same thing with "TSW fans say ESO players and devs are cheating by pushing the votes on the forums and ingame". Links please?
I don't need to send links, there are 45 pages of forum responses to this article, just read at least 3-4 pages and you'll see what I'm talking about.
Anyways, as I said before, it is a friendly competition, we are players, we won't win anything if our game won or lost, the only winner here will be the winning game who will attract currious players. Hopefully it's LOTRO as it needs a push, ESO is doing more than fine on it's own!

I'm a bit late it seems but I'll leave a link to this video. It gives a small idea of the scope and breadth of what TSW covers content-wise, if you're interested, though it was made when Issue 6 was the latest so there's a lot missing. It's a bit spoilerish but I suppose you can't show off the game without a few.

Well, if the Finals are to include ESO vs. LOTRO, I'm probably going to have to go with ESO, despite LOTRO being in my personal top 5 MMO's of all times. Since I've been playing ESO, I've enjoyed every aspect of the game, probably because I'm not a content locust. I'm taking my time, enjoying the story, the lore, the quests and exploration. The crafting is on par with most games, but I have to say, I'm enjoying the fact I have more control over what I craft, unlike ArcheAge's RNG nonsense. I never thought I would hate F2P games, but they really do bring out the worst of what MMO's have to offer.
Sorry LOTRO my old friend, but ESO is a force to be reckoned with and hopefully with the new added changes coming soon in 1.6 patch, ESO will be a huge contender to prove pay to play games still have what it takes to be successful. XLGames, you just lost a huge chunk of revenue with your F2P piece of crap cash shop, sorry to say. Better luck next time.
I couldn't agree more. I'm really happy to see P2P working and keeping a huge player base. It really is the only model that works for a game that gives continual meaningful content and updates.
I've been let down time and time again by F2P and B2P models and I end up spending more in F2P than P2P, but B2P works to an extent. Like GW2, I played till max level and content, then only came back to play every 3-4 months when they release something which lasts for around a week.
ESO 1.6 colloquially named ESO V2.0 will only reaffirm much of this game as the powerhouse it is.
TSW's devs are getting involved in the voting and promoting it (This is confirmed). Isn't this against the MMORPG.com rules? In contests devs aren't allowed to vote in or actively promote their game.

As my first post here I would like to say even though I voted for ESO I a am impressed with the TSW community and will be picking up TSW to give it a try as it looks interesting to me.

Next round ESO will face off against LOTRO for ultimate supremacy while TSW and EVE will duke it out for the honour of being the second best of the losers (loser of the ESO / LOTRO duel will be the best loser).
If you feel paranoid and that there are malignant conspirators conspiring to piss all over everyones fun maybe you should try TSW? If for nothing else than just to get your delusions confirmed.

Most polls have a margin for error +/- 3 or 5%, so the result isn't particularly telling except to say both games have avid communities and it was a good fight.
