Zane, just make a new email account, transfer the current name with special characters to that email account, make a new account on the RV site with no special characters or numbers and then use the winning email for that new account. Im not sure if you can delete accounts, and i didnt even know you could change names, but if it doesnt work try my approach.
Oi.. when I saw that we couldn't have numbers in our name I asked Kanoth what to do, and he told me that he believes that it doesn't matter, aslong as your ingame name doesn't have numbers.

the last message was delivered way early in the morning, pacific time. So I'm expecting to not get it until tommorrow or the next day... and lets hope we get it before the weekend or else we might not get it this week.

We were supposed to have gotten it a few days before they were delivered though. They had some problem with their emailing system or something.

The beta testers I have spoken with are not painting a pretty picture. Having said that Im not detered... its a beta after all. My enthusiasm and optimism for this one are higher than they have been for any game in ages

This is my concern to be honest; so much hype of a game that 95% of the hypers probably know realistically 1% of the actual game content and payability due to the NDA etc. I am hoping like hell that this is THE game to play, but still can't shake the feeling that it may have all been too overhyped for its own good.
But, still, am looking forward to getting into some testing to help them achieve their desired goal. And yup, it is a Beta.

This is regarding the community members getting a game state update, but applies just as heavily to the contest winners who think that they won a million bucks and want it yesterday.
As far as KFR getting in here to give an update, right now he's in one of his "head down" modes. He is one person working on literally 100's of different tasks and knocking each of them out as he can. I dont envision seeing him on the boards too much for awhile, but he shall return.
[Poster's edit: For clarification, from this point on the post might be dripping with sarcasm...;)] This should help in part to explain why you haven't got to play the game for free- err, you mean test the game, yet. Everytime you (plural) start to write a post complaining that you stiiiill don't have your account, or how you are so totally losing faith in Redbedlem and RV because you can't play the game- err, test the game (that you probably only heard about when you 'won' a spot in the Beta), just take a moment to think about the size of the company and the amount of work they are putting in right now.
Sorry to rant and rave about this, but frankly, I find it embarressing for this community to read "Omg I wanna plaa-aaay!" posts. How about we all just resolve that 1) Redbedlam are VERY busy 2) the accounts will arrive when they have TIME to organise it all 3) That the Barbs are gonna kick all your whiney lil Romans' butts! ROAR!

You know, there's a backspace button on your keyboard. If you make an error like saying "play...err test." you could just press backspace a few times and change the word to test.
Besides, some of us that are patiently waiting for the Roma Victor beta /have/ been waiting for the game for litterally years. And if I can be honest, I don't really care if I get my beta slow now, or in two weeks, or a month.
I thought it might have been obvious that I wasn't talking to people like yourselves Imp. Wasn't really talking to anyone in particular, just trying to make the point that RV isn't being made for the benefit of the mmorpg.com beta winners. People just need to be patient and go about their lives...
