64b: It would be a hassle to have all 10km a loading point - but as I said we will see how the instancing (LOD) of the ships work (especially if they are near and in 2 different segments) - You know those LOD instance bubbles they showed up a graphic last year.
DX12: It is no problem at all to change the DX Versions, the libraries are independend and backward compatible, it's the internal thing and some new shader options. Another story would it be if they decide to rework all shaders.

You seem to be missing how this originated, so I can appreciate why you might be confused. I corrected someone using the pre-alpha term and I provided a link to show that the head honcho wasn't calling his game pre-alpha anymore. That should have been the end of that. Someone else then joined the conversation declaring that my comment was angry and that by some wierd twisting of logic it showed affliation to dsmart aka "hurr durr dsmart".

We've got a few channels in which we will start providing Star Citizen Alpha 2.0 PTU information.

we were planning on a smaller, closed test, but we immediately opened
it up to allow livestreaming and screenshot sharing, plus added more

Discord
has been a very useful tool for working with players and sharing
information in realtime. We'd love for you to join us there as it's the
best way to communicate on testing status and goals, plus in
coordinating with your fellow testers. We're quite active there, and
we've created a channel specifically for PTU updates called #announcements there for official updates.
The
Live Service Notifications category is where we'll post info on patches
and updates. We previously had not been using this since PTU 2.0 was
initially going to be a small test group. However, we've opened it up to
quite a few players now and it makes sense to treat this as a full
service publish. Inside each post will have the link to the latest full
patch notes.
Reddit
has been a very helpful instrument in relaying and extracting
information, and is especially helpful to us in gathering information
quickly on an isolated topic.
We
have left up the Test Pilot HQ 2.0 PTU Feedback category on our forums
as some players prefer to congregate there. We'll make sure that we post
important information here from now, but most of our limited time we
have to gather info is spent on other channels. We'd like to encourage
players to use Discord when possible, and to use the PTU Issue Council
to share bug reports and game feedback.

We'll now be publishing our full Patch Notes on both the regular RSI website and the PTU site.
Haven't heard of any plans to add more testers at this point. We've got a
good number right now, and we would probably push to Live before adding
more to PTU.

Are you judging me now? You make the assumption that I don't have reason to believe that he has questionable motivation. If you took the time to review his post history you'd see quite clearly that I have given him many reasonable and logical answers to his questions, including one in which he stated that if someone gave him a reasonable explanation he'd stop posting on the subject, which I did. So, yes, I have reasonable expectation to believe (including through his apparent fascination with DS, and being an admitted supporter of DS) that he has questionable motivation.

Other companies will adapt this scheme to sell their assets to the gamers way before the game can show up anything, just to have the "gonna catch them all" feeling or just to have a better ships than the "noobs". You can see this behavior on the SC forums every day, the voice of the big spenders weight more than the voice of the poor.
Other than that is that CR obviously thinks that the money will pour endlessly, the comment "We can finish the game if the founding stops today" is nonsense at this stage this may have been valid in early 2014 but not anymore.

It is no problem at all to change the DX Versions, the libraries are independend and backward compatible, it's the internal thing and some new shader options.

It is a tad ironic that you should say that Erillion is never wrong...Pot....meet Kettle. I mean as much as Erillion may be a crusader, you're the Yin to his Yang, and if you're honestly 61 with heart problems and you're arguing about the existence, or lack thereof, of a game that you may or may not live to see, the question of maturity sits squarely in your court. You certainly aren't helping your chances.
Oh, and BTW, I have given you AMPLE logical answers to questions you've proposed in the past and you simply ignore any sort of logic. So as much as you'd like to think that Erillion is the problem, I'll tell you the same thing I tell my children and hopefully it will resonate, "Sometimes, if everyone is disagreeing with you, it's not that they don't like you, it could be that you are wrong." It was explained in the very next sentence for anyone who didn't get it.
1. Showing a quote that proves the game is in a more advanced stage when a lesser stage was used as cause for issues is in no way "cheap" or "diversionary". The poster refuted a statement with a fact.
2. How does the second sentence make the first sentence more rational? The first sentence is a gaggle of nonsense and the second sentence is a cop-out because someones point about the current state of the game and its current stage of development was wrong but rather than refute with facts or any kind of evidence you posted what is quite possibly the most extreme case of drivvle I have seen on this forum in years.

You seem to be missing how this originated, so I can appreciate why you might be confused.
I corrected someone using the pre-alpha term and I provided a link to show that the head honcho wasn't calling his game pre-alpha anymore. That should have been the end of that.
Someone else then joined the conversation declaring that my comment was angry and that by some wierd twisting of logic it showed affliation to dsmart aka "hurr durr dsmart".
That is what I was referring to. A lot of comments that may be perceived as critical are quite often totally dismissed by throwing out a "hurrr durr dsmart" instead of trying to actually discuss a point. The "hurr durr dsmart" is the cheap, diversionary, rallying point. Is that clear?

Initially, we were planning on a smaller, closed test, but we immediately opened it up to allow livestreaming and screenshot sharing, plus added more groups of testers. "So, loaner ships have been a part of the Star Citizen development experience for quite some time. If you own a ship that isn't ready to fly, we provide you with a playable alternative until it is. Pretty straightforward.
With 2.0, we're revising the matrix to be as simple as possible. All unflyable multi-crew ships will be given an Andromeda as the loaner, and all unflyable single-seaters will be given a Hornet. Yes, there are a few exceptions, but that's the basic rule going forward. This is currently in effect on the PTU, and will go into effect on LIVE servers when 2.0 arrives."

I don't think I questioned how he is living his life, I made observations based on my interactions with him. How he chooses to live his life is completely up to him. There certainly isn't a lack of people wasting their time on the SC debate, myself included.

Are you judging me now? You make the assumption that I don't have reason to believe that he has questionable motivation. If you took the time to review his post history you'd see quite clearly that I have given him many reasonable and logical answers to his questions, including one in which he stated that if someone gave him a reasonable explanation he'd stop posting on the subject, which I did. So, yes, I have reasonable expectation to believe (including through his apparent fascination with DS, and being an admitted supporter of DS) that he has questionable motivation.
You are right,though, that is his choice to make, the same way that I've decided to waste my time writing logical responses into SC threads.

You can see this behavior on the SC forums every day, the voice of the big spenders weight more than the voice of the poor.
Other than that is that CR obviously thinks that the money will pour endlessly, the comment "We can finish the game if the founding stops today" is nonsense at this stage this may have been valid in early 2014 but not anymore.
