I loved Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 gives strong feeling of first chapter. I can't wait for it.
Pretty, other then that, meh.
I don't care about innovation I care about fun.
That was a decent video. If this game lives up to the hype, I'm sold.

seriously tho, can you imagine that thing romping around, with all the effects around it and another 20+ (give or take depending on how big raids are in GW2) people running around it using skills and trying to kill it

The first few seconds blew me away with the shot from outside the city. It just looked incredible!

other mmos can bow to guild wars. people saying it's all fake are just noobs with no reading done. And that dragon coming from the sky is NOT FAKE! It will happen. When they show gw2 demo those guys will shut up! arenanet doesn't release anything that hasn't already been implemented in the game! Earlier trailers were based on concept art done by arenanet's artists. Now they do actual gameplay trailers!

Anybody remember that Aion 3.0 trailer? Yea, that's what I thought.... Until I see it in the game I don't believe it... They made aion look like this epic game in the trailer and when the game came out it wasn't half as good as the trailer. Just more hype here nothing more nothing less...
Yea, Aion was a good game, but certainly not the game from the aion 3.0 trailer they all wanted you to believe it was. Looks like more handy work from ncsoft. Yea yea yea.. aranet my ass. Who's name is still on the box.

Ncsoft is only the publisher -_- Arenanet is the company that is creating guild wars itself, and let me remind you its a western company, developing a western game. Not some korean company creating an eastern grinder like aion.
If you ever played Guild wars then you would know that Arenanet is completely capable of something this big. Dont underestimate them
Aions problems were never looks, it was the fact that it was a Korean grind feast like L2.
But it is true that some companies have made phony trailers, like the really old Darkfall videos to mention one. But the difference here is that the people at Arenanet are experienced devs who worked at other games before.
The only thing NC soft have with the name is that they publish it. Arenanet is a company founded by old Blizzard employees, they were the team who started on Wow and did Warcraft 3. They also have hired in some people from other companies since then but they are not inexperienced.
To say that this is an epic game do take some fate and optimism but Arenanet are professional and the first GW is more polished and better programed than any other game I seen since Diablo (which also had some ANET people on it).
This might not be the great MMO we are waiting for but it wont be something like AION. What did Aions best people do before AION? That is right, L2.

I'm not underestimating them. From the looks of that video , the game looks good. I also drooled over that Aion 3.0 video , but then the game was not as amazing.
I will be buying this game. To say that it will blow all other MMO's out of the water, that is just false hope. It may do that, but I doubt it.
I wouldn't dare pay for it..... Are we gonna hold rank now on a fucking sequal to a game? Pull rank on one of the other people on these boards , because quite frankly I don't give a rats ass. If that's what the community is shaping up to be I want no part of it. Devalue community members who didn't want to play the original? GW2 is just that gw 2 .. It will be a new game , new people.

Still, the amount of misinformation about GW2 surprises me...
Who is developing a game matters far more than who is publishing it. Aion was developed in South Korea and was created as a traditional eastern grindfest. It was later hastily repackaged for a western audience. Arenanet is a western based developer that has already established a baseline of standards with Guild Wars. They have shown already that they are raising the bar for themselves by a large margin and have also stated that every bit of info they release is on something "already in the game".
I ask that you do a little bit of research before you attempt to troll. Although, being a troll, that may be too much to ask of you.
It doesn't surprise me in the least. People make assumptions out of very little information all of the time. Not just here on this site but all over the internet.

Everyone on here is 0o0o0o0o0o aaaaahhhhhhh the trailer, but how will the actual game turn out?

I highly doubt that. I think people will buy it becuase it is b2p and then will still be subbed to their other MMOs of choice.
If anything kills this game it will be itself. All this false hope and too high expectations for it. People think it will be the MMO killer. People think it has all this different stuff to offer to the MMO genre. Well, I hope it does. I must say, I enjoyed that video and was excited myself. But I am not gonna let a company with NCsoft on the title get my hopes up too high. Regardless if they develope or publish the game.
I stand by what I've been saying.
It may not deliver on everything, it may not be the Messiah, but it's going to be a damn good game.
Impressive trailer, visually a stunning thing to watch. The fluidity looked impressive, this might actually be the first MMO I play a caster. Will be worth trying out.
